Taking part in ‘The Big Year’ has rekindled Isaacs passion for birds and bird watching which I’m absolutely thrilled about.

It was so cold on our walk along the canal today but that didn’t stop us having extra long pit stops to watch swans building their nest, a very talkative Robin... I think Isaac would have chatted back to him for hours given the chance.....a huge family of sparrows feeding on a pile of seed someone had kindly left and a Bullfinch hoping along the trees hanging over the canal.

We had apparently just missed a Water Rail so guess who is going back there ‘every day’ this week until we find it... Yep that would be us!

A beautiful evening at Enchanted !

Lovely light trail, a fabulous selection of rides for small people, lots of treats to eat and drink and we were even lucky enough to have snow!

Visiting a couple of light trails has become somewhat of a tradition over the last few years and it is definitely something we will continue.

Evenings out exploring in the dark are always an adventure for small people so when you add lights and fairground rides, well that equals pure joy and wonderful memories made!

Lights or baubles first?

Yep that age old question ... Which one are you?

Here at Sleigh Bells HQ it’s lights first, followed by ribbon... love beautiful ribbon round a tree... and then baubles.
