🔴 A red heat-health alert is in place for the South East from 1am on Wednesday 24 June to 11pm on Thursday 25 June.

Very high temperatures are expected, including overnight. This level of heat can seriously affect people’s health, including those who are usually fit and well.
Older people, young children and people with health conditions may be more affected, so please take care and check on anyone who may need support.

You can help keep yourself and others safe by:

☀️ Staying out of the sun during the hottest part of the day
💧 Drinking plenty of water
🏠 Keeping your home as cool as possible
👒 Taking water, sun cream and a hat if you need to go out
🚗 Checking before travelling and taking extra water with you
🌊 Taking extra care near the coast, rivers and open water
👥 Checking on friends, family and neighbours who may need support

Extreme weather warning
Parents, please be advised that we have an extreme weather warning in the south. We are uncertain (as always with our weather 😊) how hot this will be. If you are able to keep children heat safe, cool and hydrated at home then we will definitely welcome this. Children that do attend must be dressed appropriately, sun cream applied before attending.
We will update you if we feel any child is struggling with the heat, even though they are not poorly, the heat can also cause the children to be fatigued and seem unwell. There may be occasions we have to reduce the child numbers if we feel it is too hot in the setting- please let staff know if you are able to be contacted for this.
If you can collect earlier than usual then i am sure your children will appreciate it- our setting can become very warm with little breeze on a hot day. Having said all that, the fabulous staff will keep our children cool, hydrated , sun safe and still have fun !! 🤩 Thank you all for your understanding ☀️🕶️
