It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school this week. There is already such a lovely sense of excitement, enthusiasm and purpose around the school and we are so excited for all that this new school year will bring. This week, we celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary — the birthday of Mary, the mother of Jesus. This is a special day in the life of our Catholic school community, as we remember Mary and reflect on her example of faith, humility, love and trust in God. We marked this occasion with whole‑school prayer and classroom reflections so children could learn more about the feast and its place in our Catholic life.
As we begin a new school year, Mary's example reminds us of the importance of welcoming new beginnings with faith and hope. We pray that she will continue to guide and protect our children, families and staff throughout the year ahead.
