I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone over the past year who has signed up at any stage to do Personal Training with me. When i started this last March I really wasn't sure if it would work but if it did the aim was always to get a space made up my back that would allow me to build a gym big enough to offer a great variety of workouts for my clients while still keeping prices as low as possible. Thankfully it has paid off and a good bit ahead of schedule. For whatever reason I never wanted to really work for a gym, pay their rent and then have to pass them prices on to clients, for me this was always the way around that.

The goal going forward now is to turn this shed in the next week into a fully functioning gym that will constantly improve as time goes on and to then offer a service that will deliver the best results possible in everything from weight loss, muscle gain, performance but most importantly improvement of health. From the start to now I've changed my thoughts many times on what I believe works and what I believe doesn't work, this gym will be filled with the equipment that i feel gets results and about the nutrition I know works to allow me to deliver the best results for people.

So again thank you to everyone who has signed up over the last year allowing me to move forward with the business and also to those that helped me with the clearing of the garden and the setting up of the base right through to the building of the shed and laying of the concrete.

Some benefits of personal training

1. Get more from the time you spend working out, it’s easy to skip a workout or do a little less when no one is standing there pushing you on and holding you accountable for it. A personal trainer can improve the efficiency of the time you spend working out as well helping you maximize your results. Everyone has personal goals from exercise and personal trainers are not only able to tell you what to expect from the workouts and longer term, but also will be able to optimize a workout program and each and every session for your specific goals.

2. You will be able to train safer as a personal trainer is going to be watching your form as you perform each exercise to make sure you are not going to hurt yourself performing any exercises incorrectly.

3. A personal trainer can help prevent you from stalling with your results by changing routines, varying intensity and adjusting schemes that will always allow you to get the most from every session, achieve your goals and build on new goals. They also take care of the workout programs, count your reps and log everything for you leaving you only having to focus on the exercise.

4. Good personal trainers will always be updating their knowledge on both exercise and nutrition and what they learn will be passed on to their clients during every session. This means you will be taught things that have been researched and proven to work while saving you time by avoiding exercise and nutrition that don’t work and actually hinder your goals.

Then I was diagnosed with Fatty Liver disease last November and my liver function tests were really abnormal. After seeing a specialist I started a low carbohydrate, high protein diet and also starting training with Robbie. As well as training me he also made out diet sheets for me which really helped me plan meals.
