Established in 2020 by local musicians, Ryan Belshaw and Jordan Mackin, The Musician Academy is a music academy serving Lisburn and surrounding areas with a vast array of music-based services. Ryan Belshaw and Jordan Mackin are a Lisburn-based couple with extensive musical experience between them. With guitar as his main instrument, Ryan is a well known face within the local rock scene, meanwhile Jordan trained as a singer and was an active member of the NI Musical Theatre community for a decade. Despite their seemingly different musical backgrounds, both share a passion for all things contemporary music. Whilst working separately as private music tutors, Ryan and Jordan decided to join forces to create The Musician Academy as a hub for everything the modern day musician could ever need! We at The Musician Academy believe that we are more than just a music school, as the business was set up with one goal in mind - to nurture the talents of Northern Ireland’s next generation of professional musicians through our top quality, specialist training and tuition for all musicians, regardless of age or ability. Moreover, as a family-run business, community is also at the heart of everything we do at The Musician Academy, which is why we also offer an unparalleled range of group-based services in addition to our individualised, bespoke training. We aim to develop you or your child’s musicianship through one of our unique music programmes. Whether you want to play for leisure, sit your Grades or launch a full-blown career as a musician, our team of highly skilled and dedicated tutors will guide you every step of the way through our individual lessons, group classes and workshops. Plus, you’ll be given ample opportunity to perform live throughout the year through our own gigs and performance opportunities within our local community.
