Bishop Alexander Academy

Year 6 have had a great afternoon on the lake (and in it). We've just had tea and now the children are happy playing around our campsite.

Yesterday, Years 5 and 6 were taking part in a road safety workshop. They were given a presentation and quiz about the importance of wearing a seat-belt and using booster seats and then they went outside and tested out a real police speed camera. They each monitored how fast the cars were travelling down Wolsey Road- good news each car was under the speed limit!

Today KS2 had their Newark Castle workshops. They had an assembly around the history of the castle and then looked at artifacts.

Year 5 attended the Community Safety Day where they had workshops from a range of different services including: first aid, the police and transport police, fire service, water safety and food safety and much more!

These pupils have all been chosen to sit at our Star Table for lunch time today. During the week, pupils who display excellent manners and good behaviour during lunchtimes will be chosen to receive table service and enjoy little extra privileges.

Some year 5 girls yesterday helped put together our new wheelbarrows ready to use in the garden. Great job girls!
