Welcome Back to a New School Year!
This morning we started off the year with a special assembly with a key message: every child in our school is already becoming who they're going to be.
We told our children to look around the room, because in it are future policemen, doctors, nurses, vets, farmers, librarians, fashion designers, musicians, footballers, basketball players, marine-biologists, journalists, gamers, coders, builders, architects, gardeners, hairdressers, teachers... and so much more. And every single day at Tealby School — every maths lesson, every story, every game of football at break, every group project, every interaction they have with each other— is helping them get a little closer to that future.
We also reminded them that they're not on this journey alone. The Tealby Team sees their curiosity, their kindness and their determination every day, and we are right there supporting them.
We also talked about how our six special values CEDRIC will guide them all year: Courage, Excellence, Determination, Respect, Inspiration, and Compassion — the tools that turn their dreams into real ones.
Here's to a brilliant year of growing, learning, and becoming.
Ask your child tonight: "Who do you think you're becoming?" — you might be surprised by the answer!
