Before long, most of our gang will be moving onto new adventures leaving our E 💕with another year to go before starting school.

I have Tues (8-4)Wed/Thurs (8-5) available at my home setting in North Hykeham. Gov funding available.

Does your child enjoy being outdoors?Getting messy?
Nature inspired and Forest school activities…..farm/park visits?

Please note, I’m looking to take on a 3/4 year old child that will be due to start school Sept 27.

Nectarines 🍑and Rainbow Carrots 🥕

I planted our nectarine tree as a bare root tree a few years ago with the children so it’s very exciting to have lots of fruit for the second year running.

Today was the first day this year that the children got to have a taste…they’ve been waiting patiently , watching the tiny fruits grow over the last couple of months.

The first thing that they noticed was the red colouring in the middle , from the stone. We decided on a little experiment to boil up a few stones in water to see if they made the water change colour. They did!

After discussing ideas, the children decided that they wanted the dyed water to make tea ☺️ ( see photos ) .

We also got to pick a few of our rainbow carrots ready to eat alongside tomorrow’s dinner 🥕 The children discussed the colours and the shape and size differences before we measured them.

I love the journey of planting, caring for , cooking and eating real food with the children ….in a world full of processed food it’s a joy to teach them about keeping healthy- in a fun way!

I think that’s pretty much all 7 areas of learning covered in a morning 😜

*Huge squeals from the garden* “Waaaaaa…..Carolyn, one of our sunflowers has absolutely, really…..SPROUTED” 🌻🌻🌻🌻

After being away for 2 weeks it was exciting to see a big change in our Sunflowers 🥰

Thank you so much to Lynne's little explorers - Outstanding Childminder WA11, St Helens. for very kindly sharing seeds with us. It’s been a wonderful journey of patience, care and respect for living things and also measuring and comparing size.

I got my pony fix 🐴💕and the children have had a great time playing with our Buds&Blooms Childminding friends. What a beautiful morning 🌳🍃🍁☘️

Everyone has really pushed their physical skills, as well as collecting some wild flowers for our flower press from the common 🌼🌷
