What a wet Forest School for Y1 today! We had so much fun playing in the mud kitchen, trying hapa zome art, and identifying trees using their leaves. We warmed up with hot chocolate and a story around the campfire. 🔥 💚🌧️ It was lovely to see the children following their own interests and working as a team. 💚

Reception had their last Forest School session until next year. We made fairy doors and used the tools to create a hidden fairy village, we made pine cone pets, and spent time playing with our friends. We finished by sharing our favourite Forest School memories from the year. They’ve been a wonderful group to work with - the confidence, resilience and team work has grown so much over the year. Well done reception. 💚🧚🌸

At Forest School this week, we got the tool box out and tried hapa zome (the Japanese art of leaf bashing). We experimented with different leaves and petals that grow on our site and had some beautiful creations. As always, we had lots of time for muddy play, lounging in hammocks, reading stories and sharing food. 🌳🍃🌼

The children have really loved the process of becoming chicken tend-ers! Seeing them hatch and start to move around has been something that not only the children have enjoyed! ❤️🐣
