Things are in full swing here at Lincoln Saints Federation's Have a Go Day 2026.

Young people are having an amazing time getting involved in all of the activities.

By far, the hottest day we have ever had for the event. A lot more of our visitors have been moved inside than usual. But that is not stopping us!

This year, we have over 30 organisations across St Francis and St Christopher's schools. Our young people will get to try their hands at a range of activities from making crisps to crafting hand puppets, from fixing (and breaking) laptops, to testing and tasting coffee.

Vendors have been here since 8 this morning setting up and we are ready for an action-packed day!

Today we welcomed our friends from Special Olympic Lincolnshire, who this week have showcased MENCAP "Do you see me" campaign. Our students across school were inspired by Danielle recent achievements at the National Badminton championships.

It was a great opportunity for our students to meet Danielle, her coach Steve and to keep growing our partnership with Angela and her team at Special Olympics Lincolnshire.

We are beyond proud and so excited to share that we’ve won at the Lincolnshire Show! 🏆💚

This really is such a special moment for us all. Our incredible Spud Buds have worked so hard, and they truly shone on the day showing the judges, visitors, and everyone at the show just how talented, enthusiastic, and amazing they are. Seeing the joy on their faces has been something we will never forget. 🌟

The children are absolutely bursting with pride, and they should be this is a huge achievement and a real testament to their teamwork, creativity, and determination. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. 💛

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has supported us along the way you’ve helped make this possible. And of course, thank you to the wonderful judges and organisers for putting on such a fantastic event.

We had the best time exploring the show, seeing all the other incredible stands, and soaking up such a brilliant atmosphere but to come away with a win as well has just made it unforgettable! 🎉🥔

Show Day 🚜🥔

What an amazing day at the Lincolnshire Show! 🌟

We were so proud to have our stand judged and we absolutely smashed it! 💪 The children did a fantastic job showing off their work and spoke with such confidence.

We loved exploring the show too visiting the animals, getting up close to an excavator, and soaking up all the excitement of the day.

A brilliant way to celebrate everything that makes St Francis so special ❤️

Day 2 Update (Yesterday)! 🎉

We are now all set up in the Exo Centre and ready for an exciting finish to the event! We can’t wait to present to the judges 🤞✨

Over the past few days, we have been busy practising our presentation sharing it with other students, visitors/experts, and even SLT. The children have worked so hard and grown in confidence every time they present 👏

The children are so excited to show off all of their hard work, and we would love your support. Don’t forget, the public can also vote for us! 🗳️💙

No matter what the result, we are incredibly proud of the whole class. They have truly lived our class motto: “Try our best and have fun!” 🌟

🌟 Day 3 – We’re Show Ready! 🌟

We are so proud to share how far we’ve come with our stand! After lots of hard work and teamwork, everything is really starting to come together. Our stand is looking fantastic; we’ve put up our seesaw posts, widgets and pictures to really show off all the effort and creativity that’s gone into our project.

We’ve also made our own lanyards for the show, which look brilliant, and we’ve got our costumes ready and on display too; we can’t wait to wear them! 👕🎭

We’re feeling really proud of what we’ve achieved and can’t wait to share it all with everyone. Bring on the show! 🚀🙌

Day 4 – Bringing Designs to Life ✨

Graphic Brands have been amazing and have really helped bring our ideas to life. It’s been so cool seeing everything go from ideas to actual finished pieces! They made us an employee board to show off our roles, and also a really fun “face-in-the-hole” board for our Spud Buds display 🥰

Nicola was also amazing and created our packaging, which looks so good and really pulls everything together.

The support from businesses and experts throughout this has been incredible, and we’ve learned so much from their experience and advice.

A huge thank you to everyone for taking the time to help us and for all the effort and creativity you’ve put in—we really appreciate it!

Day 5 – T-Shirt Design 👕✨

It was all about creativity and bringing ideas to life! First, we sketched out our designs on paper, thinking carefully about colours, shapes, and what would represent our group.

Then came the exciting part using fabric pens and transfer paper to turn those ideas into real designs on our T-shirts. We also used the iron safely to transfer our designs, showing great care and responsibility throughout.

The room was buzzing with creativity as everyone personalised their work, and by the end, we proudly revealed our very own Spud Bud uniform! 🌟

So proud of the effort, teamwork, and imagination shown the finished T-shirts look amazing! 👏🎨
