Just a reminder as the weather continues to be hot! Please send your child to school with suncream on, a hat and a full water bottle. No jumpers or cardigans needed!

Please note that the times for Sports Day on Thursday have been amended due to the weather.

Year 3 & 5 will have their session, 9.15 – 10.45
Year 4 / 6 will have their session, 11 – 12.30

Today our young governors were invited to South Ribble Borough Council for their Armed Forces Day Flag Raising Ceremony.

The children represented the school beautifully and it was a privilege to be a part of this event.

This is a way for us to reflect and show our continued support for the Armed Forces community; all those serving and who have served our country.

Armed Forces Day is this Saturday the 27th June.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the special grown ups in our children’s lives!

A big thank you to all of those that were able to join us for a special Father’s Day Lunch on Friday.

We hope that you have all had a lovely weekend relaxing, celebrating with your loved ones and enjoying the beautiful sunshine!

We are pleased to let you know that we are planning for Sports Day to go ahead as scheduled on Thursday.

Although the weather is forecast to be very warm, several of our Sports Day activities involve water, which will help the children stay cool while they enjoy the event. We will also ensure that regular water breaks and opportunities for shade are provided throughout the day.

If you have a gazebo that you would be willing to lend to the school for the day, it would be greatly appreciated. This would provide additional shaded areas where children can wait between events.

If you are able to help, please contact the school office or speak to Mrs Hellon tomorrow.

Warm weather update!

The weather this week is forecast to be very hot.

Please ensure your child comes to school with suncream on, a full water bottle and a hat.

Children are strongly encouraged not to wear their jumpers and cardigans. Children should wear the rest of their uniform as normal, shorts/ skirt, polo tops or summer dresses.

We will be closely monitoring the weather and make sure the children stay safe in the heat!
