As part of a major infrastructure project at a water works site in North Yorkshire, a substantial concrete floor slab has been completed for a new 5ML service reservoir. For this key development, we supplied a C40/50 MCC380 0.40 S4 concrete mix, helping to create the robust foundation required for the structure. The reservoir, together with associated infrastructure and two 90m-deep boreholes, will increase freshwater storage capacity to support future demand. Designed to provide long-term strength, stability and durability, the floor slab forms the essential load-bearing base for the new tank.

Work is progressing on a new grain and hay store in North Yorkshire, giving the farm some much-needed extra storage space. Our Concrete team recently completed a volumetric pour to fill the large post holes, getting the foundations ready for the next stage of the build. A solid job done, and one more step towards getting the new building up and running.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve continued to invest in Biker Group Concrete’s fleet, with several new additions helping us increase capacity and maintain reliability and flexibility.

The latest additions include two MAN TGS 35.440 drum mixers, each fitted with a 9m³ McPhee mixer body, our fifth volumetric mixer, an Armcon ProAll L80-25 mounted on a Renault chassis, and a new Renault C430 Tridem, also equipped with a 9m³ McPhee mixer.

This latest investment strengthens our fleet and increases our capacity to respond to demand, while maintaining the flexibility and reliability needed to support customers across Yorkshire and the North East.

As the business continues to grow, we’ll continue to invest across the business, ensuring we have the capability, resources, and infrastructure in place to deliver a dependable and efficient service consistently.

We’re pleased to have partnered with Thompson Commercials Ltd, McPhee Mixers, Armcon Limited and MAN Truck & Bus on the supply of these latest fleet additions.

We’re delighted to be supporting The HACS Group on the construction of the new Yorkshire Air Ambulance Northern Air Support Unit near Thirsk.
