📣 A little update for parents, carers and students

Over the weekend, we have made a few changes to how we use some of our rooms in school.

The Nook is now located in the quiet room within the dining hall. Students who previously ate lunch in this room will now use an additional quiet space within the Nurture area, with staff support and supervision.

Students will continue to have a calm, quiet space to enjoy their lunch. 💚

If your child usually eats in this area, please talk them through this change so they know what to expect for tomorrow.

Thank you for your understanding and support. 🌰

Please could you remind your child about safe and appropriate behaviour around the animals at Walnut Tree School.

Students must:

Keep ball games away from the animals and their enclosures.
Walk calmly around the stable areas. No running.
No banging on or kicking the stable doors.
No climbing into the stables.
Keep off the stable fencing and avoid climbing or swinging on it.
Follow staff instructions and treat all animals gently and respectfully.

These expectations help keep our students, staff and animals safe and prevent the animals from becoming frightened or distressed.

Thank you for your support.
