I've been a bit quiet on socials lately as I'm tying up loose ends ahead of my maternity leave, but I just had to share this sweet surprise that I received from my friend Becky The Silly Sheep fibre company last week 🥰 Can you even imagine my excitement when I found this lovely package by my door?!
Becky's best known for the beautiful hand-dyed yarns made from the sheep on her croft in Walls, but she also stocks a range of Lewis and Irene fabrics with cute coastal and croft-inspired prints that feel totally at home in Shetland. They're super quality as well - lustrous medium-weight cottons that can take a good press and wash up beautifully 😍
In my little bundle was a selection of fat quarters in different prints and a ginormous printed panel that is probably destined to become a quick and easy baby's quilt top. Final slide is my favorite 🐸🪷🌿 - do you agree?!
There's just one Sewing Social left before my leave - Monday 8th June at the Islesburgh from 7pm. There's still a small number of spaces remaining, and for the final week there will be extra cake! Will I see you there?
Becky - thank you so much for the lovely gift. I'll use those gorgeous fabrics carefully and be sure to share the results. You're so kind 💕
