Our own CEO started his career as a care worker! 💙
And we think that says a lot about what a career in care can become.
Starting out as a support worker gave him first-hand experience of the people, the challenges and, most importantly, the difference that great care can make. That experience has helped shape the leader he is today, someone who understands our teams and the work they do because he’s been there himself.
But his journey also shows that care work doesn’t have to be ‘just a job’. It can be the start of a long, rewarding and meaningful career.🌟

Recently, we were lucky enough to tag along on a bike ride with our wonderful SIL family member, John, and his fantastic Support Worker, Oliver! 🚲
John receives support through our Independent Living at Home (ILH) service, where the focus is on support that empowers, rather than takes over.💪🏼The aim is to help John do the things he chooses to do and enjoy the activities that are important to him, from riding his bike and swimming to kickboxing and getting out into the community.🥊
We’re currently on the lookout for new Support Workers to join our ILH team! If you’re caring, enthusiastic and passionate about helping others live life on their own terms, we’d love to hear from you. 💙

A busy day at Herefordshire Growing Point for our wonderful SIL family member, Dave! 🌱🔨
With the support of his ILH Support Worker, Esther, Dave enjoyed a day of making bird boxes, watering the flowers and plants, and even checking in on the tomatoes! 🍅🌻
Days like this are only possible because of our amazing Support Workers, who help the people we support to stay connected with their communities and continue doing the things they enjoy. 🫂
And importantly, our Support Workers don't simply do things for the people we support, they enable them to do things for themselves. Whether that's getting stuck into a gardening project, trying something new or simply spending time out in the community, it's about providing the right support to help people maintain their independence, confidence and choice. 💙
