Looking back at what an incredible term we had before the summer holidays kicked off🎨🔬✨

There were so many highlights from the summer term, but one that really stood out was the Leiston STEAM Festival, where we welcomed over 120 children from across the partnership to take part in some incredible activities.

Leading up to the event, students were tasked with exciting science, technology, engineering, art and maths projects to complete in school, before presenting their creations to visitors, parents and industry professionals.

On the day, there were energetic drumming sessions from Wooden Roots, sea defence engineering challenges led by AtkinsRéalis, bridge building with Galliford Try, and The Art of Sound workshops delivered by Les Bicknell, Sizewell C's Artist in Residence.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the local schools for taking part. We're looking forward to the new term in just a few weeks and everything that's ahead!

What an exciting July it has been for our incredible students from Alde Valley Academy!

Earlier this month, students took to the stage at Snape Maltings, performing snippets from Matilda as part of the Britten Pears Arts School Celebration event✨

It has been such a pleasure to work with such a talented group of young people across many local schools. We cannot wait to see what the next school year will bring to the Leiston Education Partnership💙

🎭✨Throwback Wednesday✨🎭

Looking back at what a joy it was to support Sizewell Creative with their King Arthur production at Snape Maltings! 🏰

It was a brilliant opportunity to bring so many local partners together to create an incredible piece of community theatre. 🤝

Our very own Mrs Gleeson, alongside Rosalind and Joanne, loved delivering the school sessions in the lead-up to the production. It was especially rewarding to bring students from Wickham Market Primary School - EAST and Coldfair Green Primary School to enjoy the matinee performance and see the story unfold💙

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of why community partnerships matter. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen! 🎶

Sizewell C Britten Pears Arts

We had a brilliant time supporting Leiston Primary School EAST bucket drumming performance at Celebration today at Snape Maltings Concert Hall🥁

Such an incredible venue for the students to get comfortable in, with great fun running around the reeds between rehearsals!

Huge thanks to Mr Joyce and the team at Leiston Primary, Nathan Williamson for his accompaniment, and Britten Pears Arts for another brilliant event!

Another wonderful day at the University of Suffolk, collaborating with Born & Read to bring schools from across the partnership together to get involved in creative writing and be inspired to craft their own stories.

A big thank you to children's author Zeb Soanes, illustrator James Mayhew and musician Chris Warner for bringing the stories to life and joining us for these magical two days.

Over 1,200 young performers from across Suffolk take to the Snape Maltings stage with Britten Pears Arts across the week, it's always a joyful, unforgettable evening for the whole family. 🎶

And just like that, it’s a wrap! 🎬 What an incredible week we’ve had at the wonderful Leiston Film Theatre.

A huge thank you to Wayne, Becky, Steve and all the staff for having us. And to our amazing cast from Alde Valley Academy we could not be prouder of each and every one of you. What a bunch of stars! ⭐
