A relaxed ‘stay and play’ for parents with 0-12m olds. The room will be set up with different ‘developmental zones’ to entertain the babies and tea/coffee/snacks for mums and dads. Come along and have a lovely morning with us and the only thing to bring is a cup with a lid for your hot beverage!

✨The Vestibular Sense✨

: Provides the sense of balance and information about our position in space. This sense is responsible for quick compensatory movements to keep us steady.

Come to class this Friday to find out all about the development of this sense and fun ways to challenge your baby’s balance in our gross motor class ✨

Precious Days is an educational class about baby brain development aimed at parents, whilst providing fun, engaging sessions for babies 0-12months!

Fine motor skills in action 😍✨

Although we didn’t have a class yesterday (hope everyone had a wonderful Good Friday ☺️) we loved receiving this wonderful photo of one of our Precious Days babies practicing their fine motor skills from our class the other week!

The aim of our classes is to highlight the different skills your baby will be developing over the coming months and provide you with ideas of activities you can do with them to practice these skills - a wonderful example here 💜

We are on our Easter holidays now but we have some spaces in our class when we return on the 12th April (for 0-12m olds, Fridays mornings 9.45-10.30, Heath Village Barn) - DM to join us!!

✨V I S I O N W E E K✨

After the brain, the eye is the next most complex organ in our bodies. When babies are born, the eyes, like our baby’s brains, go through a lot of development in the first year. Yesterday we explored the different stages of eye development alongside different toys and objects for these stages - plus some bubbles and sensory lights for good measure 🫧🪩😄

Yesterday our Precious Days babies explored lots of different toys and objects that are great for fine motor development whilst Kayleigh explained the science behind fine motor development to our Precious Days parents. We then did some very special prints for an important day tomorrow…

So many parent and baby classes are aimed completely at babies, which of course is lovely, but what we aim to provide at Precious Days is a fun and interesting class for parents as well. Each week we provide the latest scientific information on a different area of child development whilst providing interactive play for the babies. Hello everyone!
✨R E M I N D E R✨ there is no class tomorrow (Friday 23rd Feb), our next half-term starts next week - 1st March - and the topic for our first class back is…💤…. Sleep!!

Sleep is a HUGE area of neuroscience, and there is a LOT still to be discovered when it comes to sleep…however, we do know certain patterns to our sleep emerge in the first year of life, our circadian rhythm for one, and we are going to explore all of these in the first class back!
