In Little Chucklers, we've been enjoying the lovely weather by exploring our garden and getting creative with mark making outdoors.
The children have been practising their fine and gross motor skills using various sized brushes and techniques to create different marks. We discussed the different ways to move the brushes to make unique shapes. Some of the children shared their artwork and mentioned that they had painted their families.

It was a joyful time filled with smiles and laughter under the beautiful sunshine!

Little Chucklers had a wonderful time celebrating World Bee Day on Thursday, 20th May, as part of our intent to enhance their understanding of the world.
We talked about Bees and their fascinating nature, the children enjoyed mimicking the sounds of these buzzing insects. We then created Bee hives using Duplo, allowing the children to experiment with textures, and they relished the experience of printing patterns onto paper.

Employee of the month: Maddison 🤩
Maddison was the clear favourite in nominations this month! She has settled in to the setting remarkably and goes above and beyond in helping in all rooms when needed. Maddie has built fantastic bonds with the children and is an all round positive person to work with.

Room of the month: Little Babblers 🥳
Little Babblers provide a warm and welcoming environment for the babies to thrive in and the practitioners show good communication skills with each other and the parents. The observations are completed in a timely manner and the room is always set up lovely ready for the days activities.
Well done Little Babblers!

The children are thoroughly enjoying their exploration of the tuff tray activity. Our current focus is on providing experiences that enhance their understanding of the world.

This week, we are exploring "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and the various foods the Caterpillar enjoys. The children delighted in the experience of feeding food into the Caterpillar's mouth as we read the story, matching the fruits with those displayed. They also enjoyed learning about the types of food necessary for a healthy diet and could point to their bellies when asked where our wonderful food goes.

Room of the month: Little Gigglers

The Little Gigglers staff have work well as a team as they provide the children with a warm and loving environment and show positive communication skills. Their displays are lovely and the room is set up beautifully throughout the day. Well done Little Gigglers.

Employee of the month: Ebony Bristo.

Ebony has really stepped up being deputy manager and has grown so much in confidence. Her activities have been outstanding and she us able to provide a high standard of childcare. Ebony has made some amazing bonds within the room and is happy to help with all aspects of the day. Well done Ebony!
