Sticker art for children significantly boosts development by strengthening fine motor skills (specifically the pincer grip), enhancing hand-eye coordination, and fostering creativity. These activities improve concentration, spatial awareness, and independence while offering a fun way to learn shapes, colors, and storytelling. It is a simple, engaging, and low-mess activity that also builds patience and cognitive skills.
Key developmental benefits include:
• Fine Motor & Physical Skills: Peeling and placing stickers requires precise finger movements, strengthening small hand muscles and enhancing dexterity. The "pincer grip" (using thumb and forefinger) developed during this activity is crucial for writing later on.
• Hand-Eye Coordination: As children learn to align stickers with specific spots, their hand-eye coordination and visual spatial awareness improve.
• Cognitive & Learning Skills: Sticker, this sticker book can help with learning colors, shapes, and numbers. It also boosts language development when children describe their creations.
• Focus & Emotional Regulation: The task requires sustained attention, which can help increase a child's attention span, patience, and ability to focus.
• Independence & Confidence: Completing a task, like filling up a page, gives children a sense of accomplishment.

Our little Fishes have been busy making ‘A Valentines Hug’
Each child has printed and cut out their handprints and attached it to a piece of ribbon which has been measured against their arms, creating a perfect hug.
The children can’t wait to show their loved ones what they have created.

The children loved the parachute this afternoon, they worked extremely hard on listening and following instructions. We counted ourselves up and down in preparation for the big shake off.
We worked well as a team using our gross motor skills to lift, lower and shake the parachute and to retrieve the balls to go again.
Their smiles say it all 😊
Have a lovely weekend everyone x
