Inspection report 2026.

We are very pleased to be able to share our inspection report. The inspector assessed us as, ‘ STRONG STANDARD’ in all areas. Below are some of the wonderful things they said about us. (the full report will be published on Leicester City Council’s website in due course).
All children, including those with SEND and those that face barriers to their learning, absolutely thrive at this welcoming and inclusive setting.
Regardless of their starting points, children make excellent progress and are ready for their next stage of learning, especially school.
Children truly develop a sense of belonging at this wonderful setting.
The co-childminders have created a well sequenced curriculum that builds on what children already know and can do.
The environment, both inside and outside, is extremely well designed to support the intent of their highly ambitious curriculum.
All children develop strong foundations in their early communication and language skills and make consistent progress to become confident talkers.
The co-childminders promote children’s positive behaviour and conduct. They create an environment that supports children’s learning, development and care. There are high expectations for all children’s behaviour.
Even the youngest of children successfully participate in the routines with adult support as they know where resources belong.
Care practices are tailored to individual needs. Staff are highly responsive to individual children’s needs, knowing the children very well.
Very strong bonds between the childminders and children are evident.
The leadership team has a clear and ambitious vision for providing high quality education and care that effectively supports children, especially those that face barriers to their learning.
NO priorities for improvement were advised by the inspector.
‘Regardless of their starting points, children make excellent progress and are ready for their next step in learning, especially school.’

You may have seen that there’s new government guidance on screen time for under 5s. The main message? Limit screen use wherever possible.
- For children under 2, avoid screens except for shared moments like family video calls.
- For ages 2–5, try to keep screen time to 1 hour a day or less.
When screens are used, choose slow-paced, simple content that’s easy for little brains to follow. Find more tips on healthy screen habits for under 5s here:
