🏐🌟 Dodgeball Success! 🌟🏐
Over the last two weeks, we have taken Year 5/6 and then Year 3/4 to an interschool dodgeball competition involving schools from the Oadby and Wigston areas.
All the children showed true sportsmanship and honesty and, as one Year 3 pupil said, “That was so much fun!” 😊 For some children, it was their first time representing All Saints, which made the experience even more special.
Year 5/6 proudly won the Spirit of the Games award 🏆✨
Well done to everyone involved 👏

✨ Something new at All Saints Primary School ✨
We’re sure you’ve noticed the new signs around our school grounds… A new School Logo is here!
This Wednesday, during our Wings of Peace 80th Anniversary Remembrance, we proudly unveiled a symbol that will become a lasting part of our school’s identity.
As Mrs Boulger shared during the service:
“You will notice that on each side of the logo sit plane propellers. These are not merely decorative. They stand as a daily reminder to our children—and to all of us—that courage, service and truth are not abstract ideas, but qualities lived out by real people in our very own community. By embedding this symbol into our school identity, we ensure that their story is not forgotten.”
We display our school logo with pride, and the meaning it holds for our community. 🕊️

🕊️ Wings of Peace – 80 Years of Remembrance 🕊️
On Wednesday, All Saints CE Primary School, Wigston, held Wings of Peace, a memorial service marking the 80th anniversary of a remarkable act of bravery that took place on our school site.
In 1946, a Lancaster bomber crewed by six Polish airmen was deliberately steered away from the town centre during an in-flight fire, crashing in an empty field behind the school and saving countless lives. All six airmen tragically lost their lives.
The service brought together pupils, families, community members and distinguished guests, with Polish families travelling from Poland to attend.
A deeply moving moment saw the Polish family of one pilot gift the school a plaque, a book, a photograph and the notebook that was onboard the aircraft at the time of the crash.Key news outlets attended, with the event featured onITV News and in the Leicester Mercury, Leicester Live.
A powerful day of remembrance, reflection and peace. 🌍

🕯️ Honouring Memory, Bridging Generations 🕯️
Last Tuesday, our School House Captains had the honour of attending the local Holocaust Memorial Service at Memorial Park.
As part of the service, the children crafted and read a poem about remembering, reflecting on the importance of memory, compassion, and learning from the past. Their words beautifully aligned with this year’s theme, “Bridging the Generations,” reminding us that remembrance is a responsibility shared across ages.
We are incredibly proud of the respect, empathy, and maturity our students showed as they represented our school and stood alongside the wider community to remember. 💙
