What an amazing time our Year 7 and Year 8 learners had at their discos yesterday!
These events were about so much more than dancing, they were an opportunity for our learners to connect, build friendships and develop a genuine sense of belonging.

Everyone is a valued member of our community, and it was wonderful to see them celebrating together as one South Wigston family.

While it can be a positive way to connect with friends, there are also important risks for parents and educators to understand.
Our latest guide highlights:

• Harassment and harmful behaviour

• Gaming and socialising becoming a distraction
• Spending and subscription risks
It also shares practical advice on using Discord’s Family Centre, reviewing privacy and spending settings, talking openly about suspicious behaviour and agreeing clear expectations around screen time.

Thank-you to our South Wigston High School Family.

We are incredibly proud to share the report from our June 2026 Ofsted inspection.
The report reflects just how far South Wigston High School has come and, most importantly, the incredible school community that has made that journey possible.

There is so much to celebrate, we are particularly proud that Ofsted recognised our “positive environment underpinned by a culture of care and respectful relationships” and the way our learners are at the heart of the decisions we make.

This report belongs to Team South Wigston; our amazing learners, dedicated colleagues, supportive families, governors and wider community. It exemplifies the strength of our South Wigston High School family and what we can achieve when we work together.

A huge thank you to everyone who has played a part in our journey and continues to make South Wigston such a special place to learn and work.
