Wow! What a wonderful World Book Day!
Yesterday, Across the school, we enjoyed book themed activities - including illustration, creating an audiobook, designing a book themed door and reading a book in a day!
Staff and students were given the opportunity to dress up if they wished and many embraced the chance.

English Lead Sam said "it was fantastic to see so many of our young people engaged with books and asking so many questions in the activity sessions"

As you may have seen on the newsletter - we are allowing dressing up in book themed costumes for world book day on Thursday!

Students can wear any costume that represents a book character but we request that no costumes include masks.

We can't wait to see everyone's outfits!

Lots of exciting things happening in school over half term break!

(Thurs, Fri and Saturday are confirmed. Wednesday is a hopeful).

The talented John has kindly taken some time from his busy schedule to support us after we have spent some time with him recently learning some circus skills for our show. Thank you John!

Redridge Update 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The students are on their way home.
It's a little snowy where they are so they're expected to be back at around 3pm.

We will continue to send updates if there are any changes.

Today we paddled our canoes all the way to The Golden Arches for a treat! Staff were really impressed with the young peoples rowing! 🛶🚣🏻‍♂️
Tonight we had a tasty pasta bake followed by a karaoke and disco party 🕺🏻🪩🎤
We've had an amazing time but are looking forward to seeing our parents and carers tomorrow!

RedRidge Update 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
The rainy weather lead us to indoor caving this morning and then the beautiful Welsh sunshine welcomed us to the rock edge for some rock climbing and abseiling. We had a lovely roast dinner and have been snuggled up watching a Disney film this evening with snacks. We are all tired but having an amazing time together!

Today, we were very brave on the High Ropes course and also enjoyed the new BB Gun Range.
We have been really impressed with the young people pushing themselves through their nerves and achieving so much today!

We've had an amazing first day!
After some time to settle in, we have enjoyed Archery and dinner (including making our packed lunches for tomorrow) and are now on our night walk in the dark in Wales!

Our KS3 RedRidge trip students have arrived!
