🌈 What a colourful day at Waltham-on-the-Wolds! 🏃‍♀️🎨

Pupils, families and staff at Waltham on the Wolds CE Primary School came together for a fantastic Colour Run, raising an amazing £480 for the school and on-site Waltham Preschool! 🎉

Organised by the brilliant Friends of Waltham School (FOWS), the event was packed with colour, laughter and plenty of energy – all while raising funds to support new equipment, opportunities and experiences for the children.

A huge thank you to FOWS, everyone who took part, donated and helped on the day, and the generous local sponsors who supported the event:

A huge well done to the Relish School Food team at Wymondham CE Primary School!

A fantastic achievement and we couldn't be more grateful for all their hard work and all the effort that goes into making healthy, nutritious meals for our pupils.

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from our kitchen at Wymondham CE Primary School!

A huge congratulations to Jamie and Nicola from Relish Catering, who recently received a glowing inspection report and achieved the prestigious 5-star food hygiene rating. This achievement reflects their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to providing high-quality meals every day.

We are incredibly proud of Jamie and Nicola for this well-deserved recognition. Their dedication helps ensure that our children enjoy delicious, nutritious meals in a safe and well-managed kitchen environment.

We're also pleased to report that meal orders at Croxton are continuing to increase, which is a wonderful endorsement of the excellent food and service being provided.

If you haven't tried our hot meals yet, now is the perfect time to give them a go! With a fantastic menu and high standards, there's never been a better opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.

🌟 Celebrating progress at Blackfordby St Margaret’s CE Primary School! 🌟

We’re pleased to share the outcome of the recent Ofsted inspection at Blackfordby St Margaret’s CofE Primary School ❤️

Under Ofsted’s renewed framework:

👏 Safeguarding standards are met
👏 Expected Standards were met across curriculum and teaching, early years, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing

Inspectors recognised the significant improvements made by the school’s leadership, alongside a clear vision for the future.

The report praised the school’s strong family feel, highlighting happy pupils, positive behaviour and warm, respectful relationships between pupils and staff. Inspectors also recognised the considerable improvements in teaching and learning, with current pupils achieving more positively.

The school’s early years provision was also praised for giving children a positive start through a carefully organised curriculum and strong support for communication and language.

👏 Well done to the whole Blackfordby St Margaret’s community!

We’re proud of the hard work and commitment of staff, pupils and families as the school continues to build on this progress.

Leaders have already identified clear next steps, including improving attendance, mathematics outcomes and support for disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND, with recent changes already beginning to have a positive impact.

Today, we were joined by Bishop Bethuel from Tanzania! We were fascinated to learn all about life, culture and communities in Tanzania, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed discovering more about this beautiful country.

The children loved learning some greetings in Swahili, especially the phrase "Asante sana", which means "thank you very much" - they were delighted to learn a song taught by Bishop Bethuel, filling our school with joy and enthusiasm.

Class 2 then got a chance to try out some African instruments and clothes with him too! It was a fantastic opportunity to broaden our understanding of the wider world and celebrate a different culture.
