What a joyous way to conclude Schools’ Football Week with EYFS!

Everyone tried their best, scored at least one goal and ran up and down the pitches with boundless energy and huge smiles on their faces.

Their enthusiasm at the end of a term was amazing! We were very impressed with their positivity and engagement and how every single team member tried their best to support each other.

A huge thank you to our parent volunteers Steph and Clare for refereeing and the patience and kind coaching that they displayed.

A final big thank you to our Year 6 volunteers Alex, Joel and Jacob who were brilliant: they set up warm up drills and exercises, coached and supported a team each and took turns in goal for a penalty shoot out at the end!

What a brilliant week. Thank you to everyone who has participated!

Schools' Football Week continued last night with Year 1 and 2's friendly tournament.

26 children attended and they all played four games and took part in a skills session with our Year 6 volunteers.

There was lots of laughter, some great skills on display and some great sportsmanship too - at the end of their first game, it was child-initiated to shake hands with and congratulate the opposition!

A huge thank you to Mr Clark for volunteering to referee and to Toby, Evalyn and Ryan for leading skills sessions and refereeing too: they showed great leadership, fairness and kindness when supporting the younger children from our school.
