Congratulations Jayden Parnaby on a great 1st time pass at Wigston test centre with 1 minor fault drive safe. See you on the road .
I say this to every pupil who sits in my car.
I will teach you to drive first.
When you can drive safely, independently and consistently, then we will talk about a test.
If that does not align with what you want, then I may not be the right instructor for you.
There is a growing obsession with shortcuts.
Fewer hours.
Fast pass.
Get it done.
Move on.
That approach is not ambition.
It is risk.
Rushing the process creates drivers who can pass a test but cannot read the road.
Drivers who have not developed judgement.
Drivers who react instead of anticipate.
This is not a checklist exercise.
This is a heavy machine moving at speed among other human beings.
Your life matters.
Your passengers matter.
So does everyone else sharing that road.
Reducing your training to the absolute minimum does not make you efficient.
It leaves you exposed.
A driving test does not create safety.
Strong foundations do.
Repetition does.
Experience does.
Proper instruction does.
If you are searching for someone who will move you through quickly to keep you satisfied, you will find them.
I am not that instructor.
I build drivers who understand responsibility.
I build drivers who can think for themselves.
I build drivers who are prepared.
Safety will always come first.

If you are feeling nervous about your driving test, please read this
Most people do not fail their driving test because they are unsafe.
They fail because nerves interrupt habits they already have.
The test does not look for perfection.
It looks for safe decisions.
These are the most common areas learners struggle with, especially when anxiety rises.
👀 Observation at junctions
Nerves rush the moment.
Slow your eyes down before you move.
🪞 Using mirrors when changing direction
Stress shortens routines.
Take a breath and return to mirror signal manoeuvre.
🚦 Moving off safely
Confidence dips under pressure.
Remember your checks and trust the process you practised.
↪️ Positioning when turning right
Anxiety pulls focus inward.
Keep your eyes ahead and plan calmly.
🚥 Responding to traffic lights
Overthinking can cause hesitation.
Read what you see, not what you fear.
🎯 Steering control
Tension travels into your hands.
Relax your grip and let the car flow.
🚧 Responding to traffic signs
Nerves narrow attention.
Scan early and give yourself time.
🛣️ Responding to road markings
Pressure makes small details disappear.
Lift your vision and look further ahead.
📍 Positioning during normal driving
Self doubt creeps in quietly.
Trust the space you already know how to create.
⏱️ Using the right speed
Safety is not about rushing or crawling.
It is about matching the conditions calmly.
Feeling nervous does not mean you are not ready.
It means you care.
The skills are already there.
The test simply asks you to show them.
Take your time.
Breathe.
Drive the way you have been taught
