🎨 Our Year 1 children have loved learning all about Mondrian and his famous abstract art this week! They practised different brush strokes and created their own Mondrian inspired pieces using primary colours🎨 🔴🔵🟡

🐅🫖📚 Our Year 1 children had so much fun visiting Charnwood museum to explore the “Tiger Who Came To Tea” exhibition! We were able to read and role-play the story and then explore other parts of the museum too! We even got to continue our World book day celebrations by heading over to the local library to read some more exciting stories! What a fabulous day! 📚🐅🫖

♻️🌏💨Today we had a visit from Danni Kennell from Leicester City Council. We talked about air quality and what is it, what causes air pollution and how we can help improve the air quality around us. The children loved it and had fantastic ideas about how to communicate with our children and their families! They even met 'Clean Air Clive'! Well done CTK Eco Warriors! You rock!♻️🌏💨

Look at these CtK superstars! Marlon and Oscar in 5HS have written this amazing poem about the sea, inspired by Wordsworth’s Daffodils. We are very impressed, boys. Well done! ✨

We had the most amazing day yesterday!
We started with breakfast and a morning prayer then went off on our activities.
We experienced low-roping, trekking, biking, survival training and archery.
We then celebrated a beautiful mass and then had fun at the disco!
We have just had our morning prayer of the day and are going out for our final day of activities.

We’re having an amazing time so far! We’ve been low-roping, fire lighting, trekking and biking!

Team building activities followed by a spot of lunch!

And we’re off!

Year 6 are on their way to Alton Castle for their residential trip! We’re all very excited!

Last Wednesday, our KS2 Eco Warriors spent the morning at Castle Mead Academy for the annual Eco Roadshow run by LCC Eco Scools team. It was a wonderful morning & we learnt so much about climate change and COP26! The children were really enthused to go back and implement some of the projects for us to do this year. 💚🌎💚 Well done CTK Eco Warriors!

Our Kindness Warriors led our Anti-Bullying assembly yesterday. They gave us a mission: write or say one kind word to someone each day.
