I attended a fabulous breakfast network event this morning hosted by FoodWise Leeds and Rethink Food! Building connections, networking, and understanding more about how collaborations can help build a more sustainable food economy and system for all.

Education is just one (but very important!) part of it - lots of discussion around getting children involved in food from an early age, which of course, is what Cook Stars is all about!

Lovely cuppa tea & breakfast too, thanks Rethink Food & FoodWise Leeds! 🥐🍊

📚🥣 Back to our after school clubs this week - and here are a few pictures from St Peter’s & St Paul’s in Yeadon where the children made yummy Welsh rarebit muffins with class leader Shell.

The children got stuck into this tasty recipe - and some muffins may not have made it home…😋😆.

✨AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS! ✨

Our after-school cooking clubs are SO popular, with many children returning term after term! 🧑‍🍳❤️

One of my favourite things is watching their cooking skills, confidence and independence grow with every recipe they make. It’s amazing to see how much they achieve over time!

✨ Every club includes everything your child needs:
🍴 All equipment and aprons
🥕 All ingredients
📦 Packaging to take their creations home (no need to remember a tub each week!)
📖 Recipe cards to keep and build their own collection
🥤 A snack, drink and a craft activity to enjoy while their food cooks

It’s a really unique, hands-on after-school activity that’s packed with fun, creativity and life skills!

🍽️ We’re running FIVE after-school clubs from September, and there are only a handful of spaces remaining:

📍 St Mary’s Horsforth
Mondays – 2 spaces

📍 Westbrook Lane
Tuesdays – 2 spaces

📍 SSPP, Yeadon
Tuesdays – 2 spaces

📍 Iveson Primary - NEW ‼️
Wednesdays – 7 spaces

📍 Richmond House - NEW ‼️
Thursdays – FULL

These clubs are exclusively for pupils at each school, so they aren’t bookable via our website.

…And we’re back!! 🙌

Our first session of the new term today and the minis & juniors did so well whisking up our yummy Welsh rarebit muffins!

It was so lovely to be back in this fab venue, with a brilliant bunch of cook stars! ⭐️
