On the day we broke up for the Easter Holidays, planned and organised events to raise money for the Good Shepherd Appeal. All money collected went to the charity which will be put to good use for vulnerable people and families. The children from across school loved coming into the hall and joining in with the games and fun. Well done Year 6!

Before the Easter break, the children in and were thrilled to see baby chicks hatching out of their eggs. They had been watching for this to happen for a few days, and with fantastic luck they all hatched on a school day! When they were strong enough and healthy, the children were able to hold them gently and learn how to take care of them.

Remember a few posts back about the children collecting sticks for an art topic? Well, here is what they were needed for - taking inspiration from one of their class reading books the children went outside to paint using the sticks on a giant roll of paper. Some very creative artists at work!

The children were able to taste some home-made food brought in by some of the parents for their Eid celebrations the other week. It was fantastic to try taste the different food and to hear how and why our families celebrated.

Before Easter, a selection of children from across the school were taken by staff to Pudsey Civic Hall for an event called "Little Sing". They were joined by over 400 children from schools across Leeds to take part in a musical variety show. The children were joining in with dancing, singing and using instruments. It was a fantastic day, enjoyed by all!

Hi everyone, just a quick message to let you know that one of our families, who is currently going through a difficult time, was recently gifted an amount of money. Unfortunately, it has been lost, right outside the school gates.

If you come across a brown envelope, or your child happens to have come across an envelope or any money at school, we would really appreciate it if it could be handed in to the school office as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding.

Recently our school council and faith leaders were invited to go to the Civic Hall. They were with several hundred other children from different schools from around Leeds. They were there to understand how democracy works, so they were able to ask questions to the Lord Mayor. A super day!

Last week a selection of children from Key Stage 2 made up of faith leaders and school council went to Golden Acre Park. There they were joined by leaders and their teachers from other Catholic schools to take part in Stations of the Cross. These stations were spread out throughout the park. At each station they were led in prayers and spiritual words. It was a beautiful day, especially as they had a picnic lunch on the park. As always their behaviour was a credit to the school.
