Last week we celebrated National Numeracy Day in Maths with an engaging and practical activity focused on planning a Summer School Fair. Students worked collaboratively in pairs as the Event Planning Team to complete numeracy-based challenges linked to real-life. Tasks included budgeting, calculating costs and profits, problem-solving questions linked to percentages, ratios, geometry and data handling. Students showed great enthusiasm and creativity while developing their leadership value throughout the National Numeracy Day Challenge. The activity encouraged teamwork, communication, and the application of mathematical skills in a fun and meaningful context. Well done to all those involved.
