Need childcare over the 6 weeks holidays? My name is Maddie and I’m a secondary school teacher offering babysitting services for working families in Leeds over the summer who need the childcare.

This will be my fourth summer offering this service, after babysitting/ au pairing for the past three summers in both Leeds and abroad in France!

Tutor of 4 years here, and if your family are only just thinking about a tutor and exams are next week, you’re NOT alone. Life is busy and fast paced, we don’t often get a chance to step back and evaluate what we need!

I’ve seen it too many times before, enquiries in my inbox and posts on groups of families hoping to find a tutor with such short notice. One thing I’ve noticed is that most parents start looking for a tutor at the exact moment they feel under pressure, instead of saving a tutor’s details for when they may need it in the future.

The problem is, that’s also when options are limited, tutors are booked up, and everything feels rushed.

Students who make the biggest progress usually don’t start tutoring in exam season. As a teacher, I know that in the art of learning, setting good revision habits to aid retrieval is the most effective way to produce results.
