Our next course with Mini First Aid Bedfordshire & Luton is on Saturday 18th July, 11am-1pm.

Our specially designed Baby & Child First Aid course provides the essentials to help cope with an injury or emergency.

This 2-hour Baby & Child First Aid class covers:

CPR and choking
Bumps ,Burns, Breaks, Bleeding
Febrile Seizures
Meningitis & Sepsis Awareness

The course will give everyone who attends the peace of mind they deserve.

Mini First Aid partner with the First Aid Industry Body, Children’s Burns Trust, Meningitis Research Foundation & Sepsis Trust for the latest in medical research updates to support their teaching.

The class will cover first aid techniques suitable from new born baby and throughout childhood.

🏡 Mini First Aid – first aid for all the family ❤️

This morning I had the absolute pleasure of running a private family first aid class in Jenna’s home for the whole family to take part together.

We covered essential first aid skills including CPR, choking, head bumps, fractures, burns, bleeding and what to do in an emergency.

It was so lovely to be welcomed into their home and to see the children getting involved, asking brilliant questions and building confidence alongside Mum and Dad. Teaching first aid in a relaxed home environment makes it so personal and practical for families.

Can you bring your baby to our Baby & Child First Aid classes?

Yes, absolutely!

Pre-crawling babies are very welcome to come along. If you need to feed, change or comfort your baby during the session, that is completely fine.

Once little ones are crawling or on the move, classes can become less suitable. We want you to feel relaxed, able to take in the information and join in with the practical activities without worrying about where your baby has wandered.

If you are unsure about the venue and whether it will work for your pram or pushchair, we're more than happy to send you details- send us a message with any questions or concerns about attending.

It's sooooo warm, and when the temperature rises, it can be tricky to know how to keep baby cool at bed time. Here is a handy little guide. 💚

184 children and young people needed specialist burn care from BBQ injuries in 2025.
For parents, that's a powerful reminder that something as simple as a garden BBQ can quickly become dangerous, especially with curious little ones nearby.
According to the London Fire Brigade, BBQs should always be used outdoors, placed on flat ground, and kept well away from fences, sheds, and anything that can catch fire. But just as importantly for families is to create a clear "no-go zone" around the BBQ so children can't wander too close.
Never leave a BBQ unattended, even for a moment. Avoid using petrol or other accelerants, and once you're finished, make sure it's completely cooled before moving or disposing of it.
Little hands, fast feet, and open flames do not mix! With a few simple precautions, your BBQ can stay a safe and fun part of summer.
