We had a lovely afternoon at our monthly Memory Café, where the theme was Holidays! 🌞

The Isle of Wight and the East Coast were popular favourites as we shared holiday memories and wrote postcards. 🌴

After that, we enjoyed fish and chips and our usual singalong. 🏖️

A stick of Blackpool rock, kindly provided by KI, was the perfect finishing touch! 🐚

The weather certainly didn’t dampen our spirits. See you all next month! 👋🏽

Today’s craft session was making these beautiful little vases with pipe cleaner flowers, our residents were delighted with them and have gone to show them off to friends and family.

Gascoigne House has its very own choir aptly named the “we can’t sing choir”. Watch out Britains got talent!!

Today it was our craft groups turn to design their own bags, stencils work was a little challenging for some people but we managed, and everyone had fun doing their design.

Another brilliant session at our monthly Memory Café today.

One resident opened up about their mental health struggles, leading to a heartfelt discussion about what mental health challenges can really look and feel like. Together, we agreed that talking, staying social and keeping active can make a real difference.

We then got creative decorating bags — fantastic efforts all round!

And of course, we ended on a high with our usual singalong. 🎶

Today at our coffee afternoon we did an animal themed quiz where all the answers began with the letters spelling out Sir David Attenborough. We wish you a Happy 100th Birthday sir David from Gascoigne House.

Thank you to all our residents for their contribution to our Dementia UK time for a cuppa, coffee morning.

Thank you once again to Izabella for showing us how to make a healthy style cheesecake, as you can see it was thoroughly enjoyable.
