Charlotte celebrated her 8th birthday with a creative, hands-on workshop party right in her own home! Charlotte and 9 of her pals got stuck into building and decorating their very own rabbit pen pots, crafted from recycled laser-cut wood.

Best of all? We host the entire event so parents can kick back and relax!

Another Saturday Night Youth Session at CATCH

Jo loved hosting this session where young makers made and decorated their own standing word signs. Each one with is a mindful reminder to be calm, happy and to relax!

Look how jazzy they all look with their sparkles! We love hosting these sessions at CATCH Leeds as it’s a great opportunity for young people to get creative, whilst having positive conversations. Everyone gets to make something to take home with them too!

We have been listening to what our young makers want to make and are currently designing our Autumn Term programme for our Wednesday Night sessions!

At this weeks summer holidays sessions at CATCH, we were creating some Scribble Art, a really relaxing and therapeutic activity, that inspired some lovely deigns!🎨

The members really enjoyed this weeks activity, whilst it was relaxing, we also found it challenged us, but loved how our artwork turned out👨🏼‍🎨

Youth session was super busy this Wednesday, we got to enjoy conversations around different cultures, while eating together, celebrating achievements and birthdays! Another amazing Wednesday spent doing what we love💛

COLLABORATION, COMMUNITY & KINDNESS

This morning, we have been on a visit to Morley Glass & Glazing Ltd to host one of our “PIECES of Positivity Workshops!”

A group of young people from the Three Cities Programme have been on a visit to Morley Glass to learn all about how the MD Ian Short built the business, and everything he does to champion sustainability and community projects!

We even went on a factory tour to see how it all works behind the scenes too!

Then we got creative! We explained who we are as community interest company and how we help young people to learn new skills! We then gave everyone one of our iconic puzzle pieces. Their task was to create a puzzle piece inspired by what they have learnt over the last few days. (They have been on a few visits to lots of inspiring places in Leeds, including CATCH Leeds)

The workshop was rounded off by everyone explaining their puzzle piece to the group. Lots of inspiring and thoughtful messages about positivity, community and paying it forward. What a lovely piece of art work to create from blank pieces of recycled wood! A truly unique memento for the group to take away with them!

Well done everyone! It was great to meet some new faces and to hear some inspiring messages!

We had another lovely Wednesday night session at CATCH this week! Our members got creative by designing a laser cut activity of their choice, we also had some delicious food together and got to watch the solar eclipse!🌒

This week encouraged lots of new ideas, and we had the chance to speak to different members about their summer trips and new job opportunities. The young people were also really enthusiastic about the solar eclipse, such an exciting experience, it even inspired some art work!

This is exactly what we like to see on a Wednesday evening, there is always so much good stuff to get involved with here, and we’re so happy to be a part of it💛

Julie had an absolutely wonderful time delivering another Creative Wellbeing Workshop for the NHS Bradford Green Therapy group down at the allotment! 🧑‍🌾🧩

There is nothing quite like combining the fresh air of the garden with hands-on crafting. It is a core part of our mission that our Creative Wellbeing Workshops boost mental health and confidence through hands-on creativity.

We spent the session decorating bespoke, laser-cut projects. Specifically, beautiful signs for all the amazing produce that the group are growing on their allotment.

Sharing a safe, relaxing, engaging space to unplug, express ourselves, and relieve stress in a beautiful green environment. Whilst enjoying plenty of tea and some truly fantastic homemade cake! 🍰☕

We are delighted that with the support of Morley Glass, Leeds we are able to continue our partnership with the NHS Bradford Green Therapy group and their work to support service users through practical engaging outdoor therapy.

We can't wait to see those vibrant signs standing proudly out amongst the veg patches! 🌱🍅

Last Saturday night, we got into the local spirit by making Yorkshire Day bunting and decorating keyrings and bookmarks at .Leeds! 🎨🧩

It was such a lovely opportunity to chill out together. There is always so much vibrant energy around us, and we absolutely love being amidst the fun atmosphere of the weekend youth sessions with the table tennis and football tournaments going on right next to us!

A massive shoutout to the incredible volunteers in the kitchen, the curry and pizza provided for everyone attending this week were, as always, absolutely amazing! 🍕🍛

Our craft activities are always doing so much more than just making things. They are:

Sparking new ideas and meaningful conversations

Contributing to young people’s fine motor skills

Providing a safe, welcoming space for young people in the area to come, unwind, and do something crafty

We love being a part of these Saturday night sessions and seeing everyone thrive together! 🧩
