Happy holidays to everyone in the Newlaithes community! It’s been a long term but after 15 weeks everyone needs a well-earned rest. Thank you on behalf of staff for all the gifts, cards and messages! They are hugely appreciated. It’s been a pleasure updating you on social media for the last 4 years and sharing some of the amazing things we do. I’m handing over the reins now but thank you again to everyone. I will get back to everyone who has contacted me over the coming days. Love Mr Rowney

Year 6 had a wonderful party this week. They really are amazing role models for the rest of school. They had a great time playing games in the hall and a hotly contested sprout rolling competition! Is there some illegal ‘sprout tampering’ going on in these pictures? 💃🕺🎄🎅⛄️

What a magical night we had at St. Margaret’s Church last night for the KS2 Carol concert. Mrs Darlison and the staff did an amazing job with the children ensuring their singing was delightful. The Year 6 readers were fabulous and the instrumentalists did a marvellous job. It may have been the busiest one ever and we appreciate all your support and kind comments. It was especially lovely to see Mrs Blacoe in the audience. 🎄🎶💜⛪️😊

Beech class had a wonderful time with the residents of Horsforth Manor this week. Christmas joy for everyone. Sadly, due to illness Hawthorn and the Year 5 choir were unable to attend but we hope to share more experiences like this with the local community in the future.
