At Hensall, we have an after-school club vacancy for 13.75 hours per week which could lead onto relief teaching assistant work in the classroom at Hensall and in the federation schools. Burton Salmon Primary School are holding two Open Days for prospective families with children who are looking to start Nursery with us this year or Reception in September 2023! Our friendly, nurturing staff will be around to meet you and there will be the opportunity to see our fantastic indoor provision and outdoor early years play area.

The dates are Thursday 6th October from 1.15pm to 2.45pm or Tuesday 15th November from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

We currently have spaces for nursery children to start the day after their 3rd birthday for 15 or 30 hours or to suit you.

We are holding two Open Days for new Nursery and Reception pupils on Thursday 4th November 10am - 12 noon and Tuesday 9th November 1pm - 3pm. There will be the opportunity to meet the Class 1 team, take a tour of our fantastic setting and explore our outdoor EYFS area. If you haven't managed to secure your first choice of school, why not see what we can offer? We have a very small number of spaces available in Reception in September and are offering Open Day appointments during April to families who would like to visit.

For families with children due to start Reception at Burton Salmon in September 2021 and for any families looking for a Nursery place, we are holding an Open Week for you to be able to come and have a socially-distanced look at what we have to offer – especially after our fantastic Class 1 refurbishment last year!

Open Week will start on Monday 2nd November until Friday 6th November with pre-bookable appointments, via the school office, from 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm daily.

If you are unable to make these times throughout the day, please contact school to arrange an appointment at either 3.30pm or 4.30pm.

We ask that that just one adult comes along (face mask necessary) with your child to get a taste of what Burton Salmon school life is like! Our other federated schools Open Weeks are as follows:

Just to let you know that Burton Salmon Primary are taking bookings now for September 2020 for any 3 or 4 year old to attend our Nursery sessions. We operate nursery provision from 8.00am to 3.15pm every day in a setting run by a qualified teacher and two additional adults. We have excellent outdoor learning in our EYFS area, a huge school field and play equipment for them to explore and a fantastic team to nurture your child!
