Happy New Year
If you fancy starting off the New Year with a bit of a diet - we have a few recipes on here that you may like to try
Starting off with :-
Fennel and Pear soup - bit of an acquired taste but a lovely warming soup.
Did you know Fennel helps prevent bloating too - so kind to our tummies.

Chocolate Tart
1 pack shortcrust pastry
400g plain chocolate, broken up (could use milk)
8 TBSPN double cream
60g butter
Whipping Cream for top if needed
1) Preheat the oven to 180°C
2) Roll out pastry and put in 20cm tart tin and bake blind for 15 minutes or until golden. Let these then cool
3) To make chocolate ganache. Put the chocolate, double cream and butter in a bowl over a pan of hottish water ( not boiling ) let the mixture melt.
4) Stir until it melts and you get a glossy and silky finish.
Pour your mixture into the empty pastry tart.
5) Put in fridge to set for 20mins
6) At this stage if you want whip your cream and put on top and decorate how you want
7) OR you could just leave plain and serve the chocolate tart with chilled whipped cream
