Free School Meals are changing from September 2026. 🚨

As a parent or carer, you may need to re-apply for the 2026/27 school year — even if your child already receives Free School Meals.
It only takes a few minutes to check, and applying could save your family up to £500 per child each year while helping make sure your child has a healthy lunch ready for the new school year.

Please apply early so everything is in place before September 2026.

Our Junior pupils had the pleasure of watching Year 6’s production this morning. There was a huge array of talent including dancers, singers, comedy acts, poetry, historical scenes, musicians and more!

The teachers were particularly impressed with the final act, where the whole year group came together to sing a song about their journey at Eastwick.

This term reception children have enjoyed a range of different activities. Highlights include painting with spray bottles, shadow drawings, shade dens for woodland creatures, more giant bubbles, water play, team games, team challenges and printing.

In celebration of all the tool skills they have learnt, the children were awarded medals in their final session today. The children used a bow saw, drill and hammer to create their own named medal. They then cut and threaded the string to hang it proudly around their neck.

In Computing, Year 4 have been learning about weather forecasts and how weather data can be logged and monitored throughout the world.

Today, they started by researching the upcoming weather forecast in various locations and then they took on the challenge of rehearsing and performing a live weather report! The children all enjoyed watching each other's videos on the screen, like a really television channel!

Year 6 children become pizza chefs for the morning! 🍕

On Friday 10th July 2026, nine children from Year 6, who were not attending PGL, visited Pizza Express in Cobham for the morning. We met the lovely manager ‘Ariana’ who showed us around the restaurant including a behind-the-scenes tour of the stock rooms and the kitchen area. We learned about Queen Margarita and how the pizza was named after her as well as including the colours of the Italian flag! We then washed our hands and created our own margarita pizzas, first kneading the dough, then adding the tomato sauce followed by mozzarella cheese. The pizzas were then cooked and we ate them in the restaurant. Ariana was really impressed with our chef abilities so she brought out some delicious brownies for dessert! All the children thoroughly enjoyed the morning and represented the school brilliantly!
