💡Spotlight on Home Education💡

There’s no one route into home education, and no one way of doing it. Every child and every family is different, and that’s something I really value in my sessions.

I offer support with Maths, English, phonics and early reading, alongside subjects such as science, history, art and geography, with learning often built around a child’s own interests.

I welcome children of all abilities, including children with SEND, and sessions are always adapted to the child in front of me.

Friendly, flexible support that meets children where they are ⭐️

💡Spotlight on Maths sessions at SJLT💡

Fun, friendly sessions covering the full Maths curriculum, with a big focus on number confidence, arithmetic and times tables, alongside common tricky areas such as fractions and percentages.

We also build real-life Maths skills, including telling the time, handling money and measurement, all through fun activities that result in real learning.

Maths was a real anxiety-maker for me at school, so I love helping children build the confidence to actually tackle a problem, rather than feeling blinded by the question.

And for children who love Maths, there’s always plenty of stretch and challenge too! leamingtonspa

💡Spotlight on English sessions at SJLT💡

Fun, friendly sessions focused on filling gaps and building confidence.

We cover:
⭐️ Phonics & early reading
⭐️ Spelling & grammar
⭐️ Reading comprehension
⭐️ Writing composition & handwriting

We recap important learning from previous years, while also pre-teaching what’s coming up in school. That little “Oh, I know this! I learned this with Shona!” moment can make such a difference to confidence.

In 1:1 session and in small groups, children learn through fun games, puzzles and challenges, before applying their skills independently through reading and writing.

⭐️Building skills, filling gaps and growing confidence.⭐️

⭐️ One space currently available in my Tuesday evening Year 4 group (max 4 children). We have lots of fun every week and tend to alternate between Maths and English, pre-learning and consolidating things that might have been tricky at school. DM to chat about how I can help your Year 4 child in this fun little group 😊 Based in CV31
