Another successful Play in a Day with a brilliant group of young people yesterday!

We held our 7th Play in a Day yesterday! It was a lovely group and we had lots of fun. Can you guess the play..?

In the first session of my after-school drama clubs I always ask my groups to come up with a name for their ensemble, along with a contract. Here’s some of their ideas (some more serious than others)…

Can you help me decide on a name? I’ve narrowed it down to:

1. Speak Up
2. Drama Demons
3. Shooting Stars

The fantastic Playbox Theatre are running a PRE-SCHOOL OPEN DAY at The Dream Factory in Warwick from 10:00-14:30 today. There will be taster workshops, storytelling, dressing up, props, and the cafe will be open all day. It's the most amazing space and place so get there if you can!

If you want a laugh…

I’m going to be on BBC CWR at 12.05 today playing a game called the Snake Escape. The fact I’ve agreed to this is hilarious because it’s a quiz game and I am terrible at quizzes.

Our Play in a Day on Halloween was very spooky and a lot of fun! Thank you to the wonderful bunch of young people who made it so successful. Their performance was brilliant!

We're delighted to be welcoming the super-talented RACHEL WINTERS to the Playbox Workshop Team later this autumn.

Rachel is an actor, and facilitator, and she will be working closely with lots of Playbox members in the time ahead.

Several Playbox folk have already been lucky enough to share the stage with Rachel, in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of 'A Christmas Carol' a few years ago...here's a little tbt of her with Millie, who was one of the many Playbox children who appeared in the production :)
