We are expanding our team and are looking for our next team members!

🎭🎤🧑‍🩰Are you a dance teacher or a performing arts teacher? If so, we would love to hear from you! 🪩🎬🧑‍🩰

The job would support our wraparound team in running dance and performing arts sessions before and after school.

There may also be opportunities to teach dance during the school day.

Kids Club at Brookhurst

We are very much looking forward to our holiday club at Brookhurst Primary School.

We have a huge variety of activities including, baking, sports, forest school, STEM, arts and crafts and more!

There will be plenty of opportunities for your child to play with others, enjoying free time and choosing to do what ever they like! The perfect mix of structured play and free play.

We cater for children from reception to year 6.

Times: 08:00 - 17:30 (09:00 - 15:30 standard day) with early and lates optional.
Standard day - £24 early and lates £4.50 a session

How to stay Cool during a heatwave ☀️

There’s lots you can do to keep cool:

☀️avoid the sun when it is strongest, typically between 11am and 3pm.
☀️if outdoors, apply high protection sunscreen regularly, wear a wide-brimmed hat and seek shade.
☀️keep your home cool: keep windows and curtains closed in rooms that face the sun during the day. open windows (if it is safe to) when the air feels cooler outside than inside, for example at night, and try to get air flowing through your home.
☀️limit strenuous physical activity, or plan physical activity for times of the day when it is cooler, like the early morning or evening
☀️avoid hot, closed spaces like stationary cars
☀️wear loose, light-coloured clothing made from breathable natural fabrics such as cotton or linen. Dark colours and synthetic materials absorb and trap heat
☀️stay hydrated throughout the day, not only when thirsty. If sweating heavily, consider rehydration drinks to replace lost electrolytes. Limit caffeine and alcohol, which contribute to dehydration
☀️spray or sponge your skin with cool water. ☀️cold packs wrapped in a cloth and put under the armpits or on the neck can also help
☀️turn off non-essential electronics. TV, laptops and chargers generate heat.

‘Today we celebrated David Attenborough's 100th Birthday by decorating kids club, watching clips of his amazing work and of course singing happy birthday to him.’
