I really liked using copper clay but have to say it’s not as easy as it looks 😄. Every ding and blemish shows up so I need to do more prep work before firing next time. I have applied some patina to the solid snowflakes to add a bit of interest: the other snowflakes have been frosted to add some sparkle ✨. The teardrops aren’t as good as I’d have liked: the little one has a crack and the pink stones don’t show up well against the copper. I am getting ready to fire my silver clay pieces so hopefully I’ll be happier with them 🤞. It has been a really good experience and the beauty of clay is that it can be reused. Win win 😄

My first attempt using silver and copper clay thanks to the lovely Keeley of Keeley Bolton | Moon & Dusk | Handcrafted Silver Jewellery 😍. The pieces were left to air dry and now need finishing, polishing etc. More photos will follow soon. My next session with Keeley is next week along with our fab friend Alison of Alison Mayne. So looking forward to it ☺️

My friend Alison was concerned about losing her hearing aids so bought a chain & earring fitting online then asked if I could make something similar. She chose a lovely pair of charms which I attached to ear hooks, along with one end of the chain: I attached a bolt ring to the other end which attaches to the hearing aids. Something different and very practical 👌

A friend asked if I could make her a ring using loved but unworn gold jewellery. I hadn’t used gold before but gave it a go. I was really pleased with the result and even better, Moira loves it 😍. It was a great learning experience so thank you.

Hi. I have a lovely silver ring for sale. Patterned using a skeleton leaf with a little patterned dome on top. It has an open band and will fit size P to Q. Price is £45 plus p&p. Made by me in my Studio in Larbert.
