An event organised by Long Sutton Nature Reserve Volunteers:

“Our community nature reserve is 20 months old now, and lots has changed in the last 6 months. For a chance to enjoy the sun and the views, you can come and see what it's all about on

Saturday 15th August from 11-2pm.

BYOP – Bring Your Own Picnic and meet the community volunteers that help run the reserve. They can explain what’s going on and the plans for the future. There are 4 picnic benches but you may want to bring a blanket in case these are taken.

Dogs are welcome on leads.

Please do think about wearing sunscreen and a hat or bringing something to shelter under if the weather is particularly warm. And, of course, please take your rubbish home for recycling.

It’s located just off Knole Causeway, down Ilchester Lane.”

With items priced at just 50p each, it’s a great way to grab a bargain while giving pre-loved uniform a new home. 💚♻️

Whether you’re looking to replace a few bits, stock up for the new term, or simply save a little money, we’d love to see you!

We are delighted to announce that tickets for our end-of-year production of Alice in Wonderland will go on sale tomorrow morning.

Tickets are £2.50 each and can be purchased from the school office. We would be grateful if you could bring the correct change if you can.

To ensure as many families as possible have the opportunity to attend, tickets are initially limited to two per family, per performance.

Subject to availability, any remaining tickets will be released on Monday 13th July. To help us assess demand, please purchase your initial allocation by Thursday 9th July.

Please note that the Tuesday afternoon performance is our dress rehearsal and will be attended by the children in school. Parents and carers are still very welcome to purchase tickets for this performance if they wish.

We are incredibly proud of all the hard work the children have put into preparing for the show and can't wait to share their wonderful performance with you.

🦋✨ A magical moment for our children! ✨🦋

A little while ago, our amazing PTFA gifted every class their very own Butterfly Garden, giving the children the wonderful opportunity to watch the incredible life cycle of a butterfly unfold right before their eyes. 🐛➡️🦋

After weeks of excitement, careful observation and lots of learning, our butterflies have now reached their final stage of development and are ready to spread their wings and be released! 💙🌿

What a beautiful experience for the children to witness—from tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. Not only is it a fantastic science lesson, but it’s also a lovely way to encourage curiosity, care for nature and create memories they’ll never forget. 🌼☀️

Before we know it, the summer holidays will be over, uniforms will be washed, book bags will be packed… and we’ll all be wondering where that jumper disappeared to! 🤭

☀️ Sunshine Alert! ☀️

With the warm weather heating up this week, we’d like to remind all of our families to help our children stay safe, cool, and ready for lots of summer fun!

Please make sure your child brings:
🧢 A sun hat
🧴 Sunscreen (applied before school where possible)
💧 A named water bottle
🏊 Their swimming kit (every day)

Having these essentials with them will help them stay comfortable throughout the day.

Thank you for your support in helping us keep everyone happy, healthy, and hydrated during the sunny weather!

What a week it’s been at Long Sutton Primary School! 🎉☀️

We’ve packed so much into the last few days, with Sports Day on Wednesday 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️, a fantastic visit from Pawability on Friday 🐶🐾, and our Summer Fete today 🎪🍦!

A huge well done to all of our children who took part in Sports Day. You were absolutely amazing, showing great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. We are so proud of every single one of you! ⭐🏅👏

One of the highlights had to be the surprise teacher race, with some of our wonderful staff dressing up and joining in the fun! 🤩🎭 The smiles, laughter and excitement from the children said it all – we think you’ll agree they absolutely loved it! 😂❤️

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Pawability and some of their incredible dogs, who put on a wonderful show for the children. 🐕🐾 It was such a special opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. A huge thank you to Mrs Hazzard for organising this fantastic experience. 🌟

And finally, today’s Summer Fete! 🎪🎉 What a wonderful turnout from our school community, and we were certainly lucky with the beautiful weather too! ☀️😎

Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, donated prizes, volunteered their time and supported us throughout the day. ❤️ A special thank you goes to the staff at Long Sutton Primary School who gave up their Saturday to help make the event run so smoothly. 👏💙

We’re also delighted to share that the PTFA stalls raised a fantastic £74! 🎉💰

A lovely end to a lovely week filled with smiles, fun and wonderful memories. 🥰📸✨

Next week may be a little quieter, but it’s certainly looking hotter! 🌞🌡️ Please remember to send children in with sun cream applied, a named sun hat 👒🧢 and plenty of water 💧.

Long Sutton School and Church Summer Fete is about to open!

There are a fantastic range of stalls...toys, books, lots of games, bottle and sweet tombola, cakes, bar and BBQ, waffles, raffle, ducklings and rabbits, face painting, bracelets, bouncy castle, teas in the hall and don't forget the last chance to throw sponges at Mrs Reynolds in the stock!

Come on down 2-4pm today Sat 20th June.
