Won’t be long before childminders and private nursery’s are no longer 😢

Funded childcare is costing some parents hundreds extra every month.

The Government has now announced a crackdown on hidden nursery charges after families reported being asked to pay for essentials like nappies and suncream – alongside non-refundable deposits and compulsory extra hours to access funded childcare places.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has now asked the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to investigate the additional costs facing parents, warning she 'will not accept' families being stopped from getting what they were promised.
