Big News! 🎉

From 1st September 2026, our brand-new Level 4 Regulated Qualification will be available in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Cheerdance, Street, Musical Theatre and Speech & Drama. We are so excited! 🥳

Designed to fit around busy teaching schedules and budgets, the qualification offers flexible study and payment options, the opportunity to train within your own school without travelling to other centres, and a choice of online or in-person assessment. It's also competitively priced, making professional development with the NPAA more accessible than ever!

The qualification is made up of two units. Unit 1, The Practice of Teaching, is a generic teaching unit relevant to all subjects. Once completed, it does not need to be repeated if you decide to qualify in additional genres, helping to reduce both the cost and time involved in future study. Unit 2, Knowing My Genre, focuses on the specific subject being studied and is completed for each additional genre qualification.

Whether you're taking the next step in your teaching journey or looking to expand your qualifications across multiple disciplines, this exciting new programme has been designed to provide a flexible and practical route to success!

Exciting update! We're making it even easier to access syllabus music across many of our grades 🎵

Playlists for Tap, Modern, Cheerdance and Contemporary are being made available as downloadable MP3s via the portal, alongside the already-available Spotify access. Tap and Cheerdance are already underway, with MP3s available now through the Portal, allowing you to listen online or download the music free of charge.

With more flexible access options and lower costs, keeping your classes running smoothly has never been easier! 💃🎶

This flexible qualification lets learners focus on their chosen discipline and offers a supportive first step into teaching 🎓

🌟 Who Can Apply?
Perfect for those starting out or already working as teaching assistants, this course is open to anyone aged 14 and over at the time of assessment. There are no deadlines; you can progress at your own pace.

📚 How It Works
The course combines guided learning with your teacher or mentor and independent study, giving you the freedom to learn in a way that suits you best.

- Safe working practices in your chosen discipline

Following the successful launch of our Acting syllabus earlier this season, we are thrilled to share that even more updates are on the way this upcoming Summer Term! 😁💃🏻

A brand-new regulated Level 4 Teaching Diploma will be launching very soon. This qualification will be available across all subjects and offers an excellent new progression pathway for teachers looking to gain further professional recognition. We’ll be sharing full details shortly, so please keep an eye out for more information.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been busy updating and improving our video resources. Grade 4 Contemporary has been completely re-shot and, to make things clearer and more accessible, has now been filmed from both the front and the back. This should make teaching and learning the material even easier.

Grade 5 has now been filmed, along with all pointe grades, including the new Advanced Foundation. These refreshed recordings will ensure consistency, clarity and the highest possible support for our teachers and students.

And we also have our very exciting, previously announced STREET DANCE grades, which are coming to the NPAA very soon as well.

We're also busy updating how music for our syllabuses can be accessed. We're in the process of making it so playlists for TAP, MODERN, CHEERDANCE AND CONTEMPORARY are now available as MP3 downloads via the portal, as well as via Spotify. TAP and CHEERDANCE are already underway and you can access the MP3 recordings by clicking the title of each grade that has a hyperlink, taking you to a Google Drive folder where you can download or listen to the music for free. This gives you more, streamlined ways to keep your classes running, with an even lower cost!

Available as half-day, full-day, or multi-day programmes, sessions can be tailored to your specific needs, whether you require syllabus-focused training or bespoke workshops. We offer training across a range of disciplines including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Acro, Cheerdance, Musical Theatre, and Speech & Drama, as well as specialist workshops in areas such as Pointe work, Acro conditioning, Contemporary improvisation, and Cheerdance technique.

Led by experienced senior NPAA specialists, these sessions are designed to enhance skills, build confidence, and support progression within your school or organisation. Costs are available on request.
