Hi everyone!🙂 hope you are all keeping well and safe. An update on some of the activities we have been able to do during these difficult times
Since March,2020 to present we continue to work with our local communities, charities, families and educational institutions in providing support in terms of tuition, teaching and learning, delivering food parcels to individuals and families. We continue to support young people's learning and development as well as supporting and volunteering alongside our local charities. Thank you to all key workers. We will get there eventually, keep safe and be positive.

We would like to thank our recent donors, a couple from Coppull, Lancashire. The item was safely handed to the new owners in Preston Lancashire they sends their sincere appreciation. We would also like to thank Mike at Fylde Borough Council who with his team donated various items in our previous Schools Aid project. It was one of the toughest project we ever faced, but managed to handled it despite the challenges. So thank you all, for your support.

Hi everyone, we hope and pray that you are all keeping well and safe. Due to circumstances beyond our control; illness operations, lost of family members and battling other issues, we have not been able to regularly update our activities and project.

However, we intend to resume full operational activities when the COVID-19 issues are finally downgraded and safe to carry on with our social activities.

In any case, since recovering, I continue to volunteer since the beginning of January,2020 working with local schools, communities, individuals, families, refugees both local and international and also jointly working collaboratively with local charities during these difficult times in serving vulnerable communities and individuals.

Since Jan,2019, Stacie and I regardless of the difficult circumstances have managed to continue extending our support to students and families both locally and internationally. We would like to thank all those who have once donated to our projects and wish you all well.

Today, after a long careful consultations, meetings and discussions we at the Universal Children's Society have renamed it as the following:
Universal Children's Adult's and Families Society UCAFS.

This we believe will enable us to reach out to all, and therefore makes us an inclusive organization with support and opportunities for all as we strive to lift, support and inspire.

😢😭Back in 2016, 2017 and June 2018 We meet our head teacher of Soma Lower Basic School in consultation. My wife and i discussed with him our aims, and vision of helping to transform the school in line with the policies, frameworks of the school in accordance with the Ministry of Education's guidelines and principles. We started doing so by shipping stationery items in early and late 2018.

It broke my heart when I heard of his passing away early this week. I hereby ask for your prayers for his soul to rest in perfect peace in the most beautiful gardens of jannatul firdawsi Ameen, and his family to cope in this difficult times.

However, my wife and I in collaboration with the Universal Children's Society are now determined to see that we fulfil our promise to him of doing what we can to help transform the school playground and help support the school's teaching practice by providing as many educational items as possible for the school and other schools in his memory, Mr Dampha's memory and indeed in memory of all those teachers and head teachers, teaching Assistants who have passed away both in Gambia, UK and the rest of the world.
So God (AllahSubuhanahuWaaTaalah) help us. If you want to join this course contact myself on [email protected] or [email protected].

There has been a delay in the shipping due to the cost of shipping. However we managed to find a reasonable shipping firm who have discounted and also gave us option on paying the shipping cost. The items should hopefully be in their intended school by late April early May 2018.
