Wow, what a week! There hasn’t been a moment to pause these last few days. Having just sat down with a cuppa after closing down the classroom for the summer and excitedly writing new name tags for pegs, I have found myself feeling thoughtful.
The change from EYFS to Key Stage 1 feels scary, we know. It’s another step forward in life for the children as they carve their pathways to their futures. But gosh they are ready. Just as I have excitedly written new names, so have the Year One teachers for my now not-so-little learners.

We would like to wish you all a summer of happiness, maybe an adventure is to be had or a new skill is there to be mastered.
Whatever your summer looks like, enjoy it. We will see you in September looking more grown up than ever 💙🤍💙

To our Year 6 leavers, I’ve watched you grow since you were 4. So many of your qualities are still there and so many new ones have evolved. You are all incredible and we will miss you more than you realise.
Thank you for putting on an amazing performance of ‘We Will Rock You’
Go forwards and shine …maybe you will find out the meaning of ‘do the fandango’?

We are busy creating an ice cream shop. This morning one of the children said we needed a menu and lots of us wanted to do this. It’s a hive of activity, using our imaginations, talking about our favourite flavours and toppings and using our phonics to spell 🍦🍧

We were so proud of our little ones, taking part in a whole morning of activities and then an afternoon of fun races.

We are lucky enough to have the use of beautiful Percy Fields right next to school for our summer sports (including Sports Day) which was on Tuesday. We were blown away by the encouragement and support all the children in all years showed each other- it was truly something special! Congratulations to Blue Bisons, one of our school Houses for winning the cup this year! 💙
