Just finishing off my second commissioned fabric piece in which I channelled some of natures messengers to be used as a special ‘altar‘ cloth by the recipient.
The swallow and willow bring their dynamic energy and flow, captured and imbued on vintage cotton with willow natural dye.
It’s such an incredible honour to create these. I love each and every step so much!

Hey my Kirriemuir friends, fancy a wee morning visit to Sustainable Kirriemuir Community Garden?
Come and pick up some freshly grown organic veg and take a peak at all the natural dyeing discoveries I've been making this Summer. All from the flora that grows around us 😍

So it's been quite some time since I posted anything here! But I've decide to dust off the cobwebs and resurrect the old page!
Since I stopped selling my embroidery kits (2 years ago!?!), I've never stopped creating! I've adventured as a freelance artist into many other aspects of creativity I hadn't experienced as a 'job' before - such as web design, content creating, graphic design work and creative project managing.
However, there are always my own projects calling me back and the desire to give the more space and focus has returned.
I've been sharing quite a bit about the more intuitive side of the work I do over on Instagram .and.wild but this page is just going to be for the straight up creations.

It'll be my chance to share about classes and workshops I've got coming up and also dive into all the natural dyeing I've been experimenting with funded by Creative Scotland.

So lets start this all off with a little photo dump to capture a little bit of what I'm up to now :)

Thank you soooo much for response to my announcement yesterday.
As always your support is just so amazing and my heart strings were tugged big time 🥲 (I’ve opted for a photo of pretty botanicals rather than my ‘ugly crying’ face 😆!)
So I never fully explained what’s next (mainly cos it’s not quite ready yet) but I just wanted to clarify I’m not saying 👋 goodbye to stitching and will still be creating new designs but my focus is going to be offering the designs digitally.
This frees up a big amount of time that I would have used for making the kits and means I can bring more creativity and nature in to my life and future offerings. (This is the bit that is still unfolding and I will share as I go).
I will still be here sharing my usual Stitchery stuff and would love for you to keep following along if you’ll have me ☺️
I can’t wait to share the full vision with you 🙌💗✨

I’m still stitching viola’s here but thought I would interrupt with a little foxy interlude 🦊🌿🍄
This Fox kit and the Cabin kit are my favourites designs to date, I think ….. but then again there is the lil Badger and Full moon Barn owl which I love too. 🤔
What do you thjnk …… what’s been your fave design of mine so far ?? (It’s good to know so I can gather ideas for future patterns!)

So those who guessed violas yesterday were right 🙌
But can you tell what I’m making them into ???!!!
I’ve been having such fun stitching these little sweets, and loving the limitless colour combos that could be used.
These also mark the beginning of something new which I am slowly shifting into behind the scenes …. a new way of being and doing for my business. I’ll share more soon xx
