We work hard to ensure everyone feels welcomed and that you feel you can contact us at any time to celebrate success, share concerns and have an active part in your child’s learning. Our school vision of Building a Proud Community Together reflects the partnership between home, school and community and the recognition that we want children to be proud of themselves, their achievements and their co

mmunity. Our values focus our whole school community on what is most important for us. At Dysart Primary School we are Ready, Respectful and Safe. These values will create a positive learning environment for all children to learn and thrive. We also encourage children to develop our Dysart Learning Powers so they can grow to be Resourceful, Resilient, Reflective and Responsive – key skills for lifelong learning. Social Media House Rules - www.fife.gov.uk/HouseRules

Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We expect the same of all those contributing to our page. We want our social media channels to be safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.

- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own
terms of use.

- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours: 0900 to 1700hrs
Monday to Friday.

- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example
bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group

- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share

- We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our
social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:

- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is
to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions

Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.

Welcome back!
We’re looking forward to welcoming pupils back to classrooms across Fife next week! We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer break, is feeling refreshed, and ready to be back.
We want every child and young person in Fife to have the best start in life – and school is a big part of that.
Moving up a year? Starting secondary? Feeling excited… or maybe a little nervous? That’s totally normal. We want everyone to have a smooth start to the new term. Our staff are ready to make the new term enjoyable, supportive, and full of opportunities.

Free School Meals and Clothing Grants for qualifying households.

See the post below for further information.

Free school meals & clothing grants – are you eligible?

Did you know that all P1 to P5 pupils are automatically entitled to free school meals? Changes this year mean that children in P6 and P7, and now also pupils in S1 to S3, are also entitled to free school meals if their parent / carer receives Scottish Child Payment, but you must apply.

The school clothing grant applications are also still open.

If you have children and are finding it hard to make ends meet, see if you could get help towards buying school clothing and free school meals at www.fife.gov.uk/schoolbenefits
