🌟 What a fabulous first week back!

It has been so lovely to welcome all of our children back to school after the summer break. We’ve had a fantastic first week, with lots of smiles, laughter and learning!

A very special welcome to our new Reception children, who have settled into school life brilliantly. We are so proud of how well they have done in their first few days.

🎨 Both classes have also been getting creative in Art this week. Oak Class have been exploring shade, tint and tone, while Acorn Class have been learning all about colour mixing.

It’s been a wonderful start to the new school year, and we’re already looking forward to everything the year ahead will bring!

The boys have also had a brilliant week! Whilst the girls have been working on their football skills, the boys have been working collaboratively, focusing on team work, resilience and communication. They made towers from marshmallows and spaghetti, made ‘Jaberwockey’ models, and played games that required logic and strategy. We are so proud of the way they all worked together on these activities - well done!

What a fantastic week we’ve had here at Kinlet school!
This week was our ‘Girl’s football week’ - this was suggested, planned and delivered by one of our students, with the help of Coach Brathwaite, Ms Bence and Lilia. The aim was to get more girls interested in the sport, so that all our children can play together at break times.
It was a tremendous success! Everyone who took part said how much they enjoyed it.

Today we went on another Egyptian themed visit! This time to the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery. We took part in a fantastic Egyptian workshop, and had chance to view some of the wonderful exhibitions there too.
There was so much to see - we will definitely be back!

With hot weather forecast, please can you ensure that all children come to school with a sun hat, a water bottle, and sun cream already applied; make sure that everything they bring into school is clearly labelled.
During hot weather, children may wear a plain white T-shirt with shorts if they wish. No bright colours or football tops/strips.
